About Us

SimVantage is a spin-off of Graz University of Technology (TU Graz). What is today a specialized bioprocess simulation company began roughly 15 years ago as a research project at TU Graz, in close collaboration with Novartis/Sandoz, one of the first industry partners to recognize the potential of CFD-based bioreactor simulation for real-world application.

At the end of 2021, this research initiative became an independent company. Since then, SimVantage has grown steadily: today, the team consists of 7 full-time employees, including 3 ongoing PhDs, working to make bioprocess simulation more precise, faster, and more accessible for biopharma companies.

International Recognition

In 2025, SimVantage received the FDA BAA Grant as the only company outside the USA to do so. This recognition reflects how SimVantage's combination of first-principle CFD models and data-driven approaches has positioned it among the international frontrunners in regulatory-relevant bioprocess simulation.
